The true value and worth of an internship stressed by my professors throughout my college career has been realized through my involvement this spring with ReadyMinds. Officially deemed “Marketing Intern”, my responsibilities far transcended the basic clerical duties many internships request. I was heavily involved in the creation of several presentations meant to communicate the ReadyMinds services to our distinct target markets. Each project required the effective presentation of factual information regarding ReadyMinds, complimented with relevant statistics in a creative and appealing way. This encouraged me to familiarize myself with exactly what the company does, while simultaneously demanding the utilization of my knowledge as a marketing major at Seton Hall University in order to create an effective presentation. My education in the field, and creative nature was further utilized as I presented several advertising ideas for radio, T.V., and newspaper. In fact, Mr. Miller, the chairman and CEO of ReadyMinds, recently suggested the possible implementation of one advertisement I created on Seton Hall’s campus.

The ReadyMinds company extends an embracive attitude in forming relationships with its interns, and values their opinions on many issues related to the company. They provided me with meaningful work in which they expected my best effort. This professional relationship encouraged me to provide the team with an end product that I was proud of. My experience at ReadyMinds has been interesting and educational, as well as rewarding. I believe this internship has more then adequately prepared me for a position in the marketing field, which I seek to obtain this summer. I look forward to possibly seeing some of my work as my ReadyMinds projects are circulated outside of the office walls.
