Donald F. Farley |
CEO of the new Specialty Group at Spencer Trask
Donald has over 30 years of business experience with particular expertise in operations, new business development, and management. He is currently CEO of the new Specialty Group at Spencer Trask — a leading New York City investment firm, dating back to the late 1870s. His primary focus is on forming successful partnerships with emerging and mature companies in the specialty chemicals industry. Previously, Donald was president of Pfizer Consumer Health Care, a leading maker of high-quality, branded consumer health care products, and a vice president of Pfizer. Prior to that, he served as president of Pfizer Food Science Group which he repositioned into a global, service-based food ingredients business. Donald holds an M.B.A. in Finance/Accounting from the University of Hartford and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.

Joe Haberman is a Senior Partner of Heidrick & Struggles and leader of the firm’s Education Markets Practice, located in the Tysons Corner office. The practice is a center of excellence within the firm and is integrated with our Technology, Consumer, Media, Higher Education and Professional Services practices. This practice was established under Joe’s leadership to meet the unique industry challenge that an adequate supply of excellent indigenous talent does not exist to meet current or projected demands. Education Markets specializes in both its knowledge of candidates from the industry and developing candidates for client engagements from other industries.
Bringing over 16 years of executive search experience, Joe's practice focuses on senior level assignments for domestic and international companies that provide content, technology and/or services to the four segments of the education economy: Pre-K-12 education, post-secondary, corporate training/development and lifelong learning. He works closely with private equity and venture capital investors active in this emerging global market that is increasingly enabled by advanced technology. Some of the clients Joe has served include Sylvan Learning Systems, eCollege, Scientific Learning, Blackboard, Capella University, Unext, Cognitive Arts, and ITT Education Services.
Joe currently serves as a Director of Calvert Education Services as well as an Advisory Board Member of two early stage education companies. He facilitates a monthly CEO roundtable for the Greater Baltimore Technology Council and serves on the Advisory Board of the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Previously he was affiliated with the Center for Leadership and Change Management at The Wharton School of Business Administration and was a Director of the Association of Executive Search Consultants.
Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Joe had nine years with another global executive search firm as Vice President and Managing Director, where he originated a similar international practice in education markets. Previously, he led that firm's Financial Institutions Group for three years. He also served on its Management Board, eventually as Vice Chairman. Previously, he founded and grew a boutique search practice. Before entering executive search, Joe was Senior Vice President and National Staffing Director with Shearson Lehman Brothers in New York. Earlier, he was a human resources executive with American Express and Manufacturers Hanover Trust.
Joe is originally from the New York metropolitan area and now resides with his family in Baltimore, Maryland. He received a Bachelor of Arts from The American University and a Master of Arts in Education, with a concentration in Human Resource Development from George Washington University.

Kevin McCarthy |
Former CFO for the Mosaica Education Company
Kevin has extensive international experience in new business development, financial management and control, business process reengineering, organizational development, and supply chain optimization. His multi-industry background encompasses consumer products, petrochemicals, and design and construction. Kevin is currently the CFO for the Mosaica Education Company. Previously, he was the president of Inventory Management Services, a start-up company within ATC, a long-standing, family-owned business. He also held executive and managerial positions at three major divisions of food and consumer products giant Unilever for over 11 years. Before his tenure at Unilever, Kevin spent five years at British Oxygen Company-Airco Gases, supervising the analytical function at two major company divisions. Kevin holds an M.B.A. in Finance/Strategic Planning from New York University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University.

Jayme Stewart |
Founder of York Preparatory School
A Phi Kappa graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University, Jayme has over 30 years of experience in education, college guidance, and private counseling. In 1969, she and her husband Ronald founded the York Prep School in New York City where she served as the director of College Guidance. Through her involvement, the school made a concerted effort to enroll a diverse student body. Under Jayme's guidance, York's annual college placement list included schools ranging from two-year colleges to the most competitive Ivy League institutions. Jayme is the author of a guide for college-bound students entitled, How to Get Into the College of Your Choice and How to Finance It. She also developed a video of the same title which the U.S. Armed Forces used to provide guidance for families stationed overseas. Today, Jayme is consulted for her views and advice on college guidance by various magazines and newspapers. She has frequently appeared on CNBC television and several radio talk shows over the years, giving practical advice to both high school students and their parents. She is a member of the New York Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC).

Scott is the company's Founder and is a Managing Partner in the firm Kensington International. His executive search experience since the company’s founding in 1988 is combined with ten years of career counseling, job-search training and human resources management. Before Kensington International, Scott was Vice President, Human Resources and Administration for seven divisions of the Bally Manufacturing Corporation. Previously, he worked for Federal Signal Corporation as Director of Industrial Relations and Personnel. Scott holds a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Illinois Benedictine College, an MBA from George Williams College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Illinois State University.

Dr. Walz, an internationally recognized leader in the field of career development and career counseling, brings over 30 years of experience in the field. He has authored numerous books, professional articles and programs covering a broad array of topics but in particular focusing on career development, cybercounseling, assessment and testing and knowledge utilization. Additionally, Dr Walz has been the Co-Director of the ERIC Counseling and Student Services Clearinghouse at the University of Michigan and recently the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is also professor emeritus of the University of Michigan.

Michael W. Rheiner, Executive Director of Education, Corporate, and
Government Relations has over 14 years of experience working in college
career services including as the director of career services at three career centers. His last position involving creating a career center where none previously existed. Other experiences include building a college relations program for Volvo Commercial Finance; creating and directing his own career and education consulting firm; and in addition to working on a full-time basis for 5 universities from large state to small private, he was brought on board at three schools to provide consulting and interim services. His work has involved helping organizations rethink and redesign how they deliver services and do business. His role with ReadyMinds combines his passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals and his strategic organizational design work, with the ReadyMinds commitment to excellence and innovation. Michael holds a bachelor degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Wyoming and a masters degree in student development from Appalachian State University, and
he works from an office in Omaha, NE.
