Press Release – Lyndhurst, NJ - ReadyMinds Announces the Forthcoming Release of A New Publication Related to the Field of Distance Counseling, “Distance Counseling: Expanding The Counselor’s Reach and Impact,” by James F. Malone, Randy Miller, and Garry R. Walz (Editors).

Published by Counseling Outfitters, LLC, in association with ReadyMinds and the American Counseling Association, the anticipated book release date is August 2, 2007.

Dr. James P. Sampson of Florida State University was quoted as saying, “Extremely well done. The book shows how to make the best use of Distance Counseling methodologies while maintaining the human element that has made counseling an effective helping resource to clients for the past 100 years.”

This book emphasizes the many advantages that Distance Counseling can offer. It outlines in detail, techniques and processes that can be utilized as one learns more about Distance Counseling as well as how a counselor can go about obtaining valuable associated credentials. Specific instructions and illustrations from counselors who are presently utilizing Distance Counseling methodologies are provided throughout the book. As the title indicates, the book explores ways to “reach” and “impact” those individuals whose lives can be greatly affected by their involvement with professional counselors. No matter which area of specialty a counselor may work within - this book will broaden the possibilities for both clients and counselors to interact in a more convenient and potentially beneficial way.

As Garry R. Walz, Ph.D., CEO of Counseling Outfitters, LLC and Past President of the American Counseling Association and the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision, states in the Preface, "Of all the books we've published, few of them offer the potential to enhance counselors' effectiveness as does this book on Distance Counseling."
