This section should take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

The General Survey consists of open-ended questions designed to help your personalized career counselor understand your interests, skills, and values, as they relate to your life experiences.
This section should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

4 - SDS assessment

SDS Assessment

The Self-Directed Search (SDS) online assessment is a guide to educational and career planning. The SDS is based on extensive research about how people choose careers and is the most widely used interest inventory in the world. Through a series of questions and statements for which you will indicate (click) "Like" or "Dislike," the SDS will help your counselor learn more about you and your educational and life/career choices, before your counseling sessions begin.
This section should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

NOTE: Upon completion of the above steps, the information you supplied will be reviewed and a counselor, experienced in your particular field of interest, will be appropriately assigned to work with you.

5 - counsler sessions

Counseling Interaction/Sessions

Telecounseling sessions (120 minutes in total) via the telephone and supported by email interaction.
Dedicated counselor will work off-line (minimum of four hours) researching particular topics and follow-up items for you, based on your needs and requirements.
Personal Web Page - your counselor will provide specific links and resources for you to review, assisting in your career search and planning.
In-depth resume review and mini-tutorials on interviewing techniques.
A four-page written summary of your sessions called "Insight Into U™," including assessment, feedback, resources, and a career action plan.
Access to your career counselor for a one-year period for any additional e-mail Q&A that relates to your career planning and success.
