Doyle W. Young, Everchange Institute Doyle W. Young is nationally recognized authority in workforce development, a syndicated columnist, author and executive. Recently, in 2003 he was Vice President of Workforce Delivery Services for ACT (formerly known as American College Testing). In this role, Mr. Young is responsible for the establishment, deployment and management of 200+ ACT Technology Centers located at colleges, universities and private organizations throughout the United States. Employing sophisticated technologies, these Centers were designed to offer e-testing and e-training services for individuals, businesses, and organizations; the Centers play a central role in helping people become lifelong learners, adequately and continuously trained to function effectively in the evolving global job market. Prior to this, Mr. Young was a co-founder and partner of The EverChange Institute (ECI), an organizational research firm specializing in establishing and maintaining continuous learning and improving organizations. ECI was the research arm of The Quality Improvement Company (owed by a colleague of Mr. Young) and On-Site Plus. On-Site Plus, founded in 1986 by Mr. Young, is recognized as one of the largest consulting firms in the United States offering over 400 learning improvement areas with more than 350 experts nationwide. Prior to founding The EverChange Institute, Mr. Young was President of Lesher Communications, Inc., a $100 million broadcast media company and newspaper publisher. In that role he was responsible for 1200+ employees and a highly profitable operation. From 1982-83, he was President of Northwest Management Associates, an independent affiliate of the American Management Associations (AMA) serving AMA's membership, both with its Presidents Association and general membership in Canada and Pacific Northwest United States. Between 1979 and 1982, Doyle was Director for the American Management
Associations' (AMA) Regional San Francisco Management Center. Mr. Young's
prior role was Vice President of Marketing for Zenger-Miller, a subsidiary
of Times-Mirror Publishing and one of the leading consulting firms both
in the United States and Internationally. Clients are represented by such
firms as McKesson, AT&T, Applied Materials, First Interstate Bank,
E&J Gallo Winery, Ford Motor Company, Hiram Walker, Lawrence Livermore
Laboratory, Longs Drugs, The Good Guys!, National Semiconductor, StarBucks
Coffee Company, Viacom Cablevision, Yosemite Park and Curry Company, Manor
Care and Ziff Communications. Earlier AMA clients included Albertsons
Food Stores, C & H Sugar, Simplot, The Gap, Bank of America, plus
others. Mr. Young is a recognized expert in the areas of organizational and employment development and is sought out for his knowledge and expertise. As CEO of On-Site Plus, his role is to consult to organizations seeking advice and counsel in the areas of talent management, training, strategic planning, competency planning and development, executive development, change management, customer service, professional development skills, developing front line employees, instructional systems development, alternative learning platforms, improving innovation and creativity, technical skills and management development. To augment his managing role, he is a frequent speaker for such organizations such as The Entrepreneurship Institute, Inc. Magazine, The Human Resource Council, The U.S. Department of Labor and the American Management Association. In addition to appearing on TV, he has been a frequent contributor to such publications as the Covey Executive Excellence. His nationally syndicated newspaper column on workforce issues and topics is read by 1.5 million subscribers in over 25 cities. He is a member of the Masie Consortium, a select think tank of 100 individuals from leading U.S. corporations that delve into issues related to e-learning. Mr. Young is the co-author with Dr. Gerald R. Pieters of a book titled, "The EverChanging Organization: Creating the capacity for continuous change, learning and improvement" (St. Lucie Press, Sept. 1999). Doyle holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Psychology and an MBA in Management. Previously, Mr. Young was Adjunct Professor of Business at the graduate School of Golden Gate University, specializing in business management. Currently, Mr. Young resides in San Diego, California. Mr. Young is an
avid landscape gardener, reader and backpacker. He is actively involved
in his church where he supports international missions.
